10% Condition

If there is random assignment of volunteers do we still need to check the 10% condition?

Check the 10% condition when doing a random sample without replacement. So yes an experiment with volunteers does not need the 10% condition!!!

what if you randomly selected subjects for your experiment and then randomly assigned them to treatments? would you still need to check the 10%?

It won’t be wrong to check it in that case!

I’m still confused. When should/shouldn’t I check the 10% condition?

Check it when random sampling without replacements.

You don’t have to necessarily check it when doing any experiment with random assignment. You won’t be penalized.
