Are you referencing just a box and whisker plot without any additional data? remember that outliers on a box and whisker plot would be marked as dots and not going to be a part of the actual whisker.

with a case you’re describing, I would be confident that they would not give you a question where you’re going to have a box plot that would have “conflicting information” if that makes sense.

it would still be skewed left.
