DBQ Question

How should we contextualize in the first period in case of a question that is asked in 1200-1450?

You can provide world historical context to what happened “just before” 1200 (if the question is from that first unit). So, figure anything about the spread of the land-based empires would be fair game (spread of Islam / Islamic empires, spread of the Mongols)

Good luck!

The cram is going over information that would be really helpful for this very subject right now! Basically, when you contextualize your argument, I’m a fan of keeping it between 50-150 years before the time period of your argument. In WHAP that’s pretty much what we think of as “Just before the time period”. Make sure you have at least a general idea of what was going on before 1200! Good luck!
