Exothermic Vs. Endothermic ; Endergonic Vs. Exergonic

I have a hard time establishing the difference between exothermic and endothermic reactions as well as Endergonic and Exergonic. Where are they usually applied?

Exergonic is more energetically favorable and does not require energy to react while endergonic is less energetically favorable and does require energy.
Examples would be ATP to ADP as exergonic because energy is not required to remove a phosphate group while ADP to ATP is endergonic as energy is required to add on a phosphate group (in a very, very simplified summary)
