What would you consider to be “outside information” and how should I incorporate it into my essay?
Outside information would be evidence not mentioned in the documents that can support your argument (e.g. if the prompt is about African Americans during WWII and the docs mention nothing about the Tuskeegee Airmen, mentioning them would count as outside evidence so long as you support your argument with them. OE is mainly used in the body paragraphs to support an argument.
