Positive controls + controls

How do you recognize the positive control groups vs the negative controls? How do you justify needing a control?

Hi there! A positive control group is where you are trying to replicate your known results. A negative control group is so that nothing will happen. Both of these can be helpful to compare the results found throughout the experiment. A negative control can help clarify whether the independent and dependent variable have a correlation to each other, and a positive control group can help with comparison of results. I hope this helps!
