Relationship between C.I. and margin error

If C.I. increases, then the margin of error will increase. But how will sample size affect the confidence interval?

Increasing sample size decreases the margin of error. It is an inverse relationship.

Sometimes it is helpful to keep in mind that increasing the sample size by a factor of n decreases the margin of error by a factor of the square root of n. For example, you must sample four times as many individuals to halve the margin of error.
