"Sampling Distribution"

If a question asks you for the sampling distribution of ??, what would you say. Is that the mean/prop. and sd/se ??

Describe it like you would describe any distribution. The means (centers) and standard deviations (spreads) are given on the formula sheet.

The shapes are given by different conditions based on the statistic for which the sampling distribution is being described. For one sample, the sampling distribution is approximately Normal if the following hold:
samp dist of one sample mean: n >= 30 (Central Limit Theorem)
samp dist of one sample prop: np >= 10 and n(1-p) >= 10

For two samples, if the samp dist for each sample is independent of the other and approximately Normal, then the difference of the two will be approximately Normal.
