Signal Transduction Cascade

Is the signal transduction cascade an example of positive feedback?

Not quite. Positive feedback loops is when the result of a process causes the process to increase. In signal transduction, the final action doesn’t fuel the process to start again–the process is based off the neurotransmitters outside the cell.

Edit update
I’d like to add that cell signaling does take advantage of feedback loops, however.

What feedback loop would that be?

I’m not familiar with specific signal transduction processes because that’s out of the scope of the AP. Sorry :frowning:
