Would we get sophistication points for explaining why the evidence is effective to achieving the author’s purpose on the audience, and explaining the author’s beliefs and point of view?
That is the task - but there is no guarantee that this will earn you the sophistication point. It is all about how well you pull it off/ how insightful your analysis is.
At this point, I wouldn’t stress about getting this point (focus on the other 5 points since they’re easier to earn).
