TATA box

Is the TATA box basically one kind of promoter region where the RNA polymerase binds, and is the sequence transcribed?

(Also, does anyone know any other promoter sequences?)

Yea it’s the promoter region located at the beginning of each gene . during initiation of transcription the rna polymerase binds and separates the dna strands and uses one as a template to begin transcription
