What is it?

Insulin is a hormone that is produced by your pancreas which regulates the amount of glucose in your blood. If you do not produce enough insulin to counter the amount of glucose, you may develop diabetes.

A hormone produced in the pancreas by the islets of Langerhans that regulates the amount of glucose in the blood. The lack of insulin causes a form of diabetes.

HINT: Hungry = low glucose & high insulin
Not hungry = high glucose & low insulin
Insulin & glucagon maintain homeostasis
