Z scores

do we have to know what z scores are? if so what are they?

Z scores refer to the # of standard deviations away from the mean in a normal curve.

For example, in a normal curve with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15:

0z = mean = 100
1 z = 115
2 z = 130
3 z = 145
-1 z =85
-2 z = 70
-3 z = 55
